For those who are wondering...  I stopped using Twitter and deleted my account. This was a personal choice because I was constantly checking Twitter and I found it to be very time consuming. I needed to concentrate on other important things regarding my business so I made the move. Not to be unsocial :)  Sorry guys.

Apple iPad

I don't like the name of Apple's new tablet, but I would sure like one!

Here's the latest info on how much it costs and the latest upcomings of the iPad:

http://www.engadget.com

I don't think I'll be getting one, unless I win one, or sell a kidney.  Not to mention it costs extra for one with a data plan.  It would kinda be pointless to get one without a data plan don't you think?  Sorta like having an oversized iPod touch...

Anyway, here's the spec's:
iPad pricing starts at $499.

16 – 64 GB of Flash storage
Bluetooth 2.1
802.11n
1 GHz Apple A4 chip
10 hours of battery life
Speaker, microphone and 30-pin connector
Fully multi-touch
9.7" IPS LCD
1/2" thick
Accelerometer and Compass
1.5 pounds

Aren't the data plans only for the 3G version? But it looks like those are going to be even more expensive than the wi-fi version. Very cool toy, though! I want one, too.

Yeah, either way, I can't justify spending a minimum of 500 bucks. Guess I'll just stick with my iphone for now and my bamboo tablet :)

I personally will be getting this for sure.

When I look at the ability for this to:

1) Be a great e-book reader (better than a Kindle for me)
2) Act as a amazing remote for my media PC
3) Use it as a input device for my MacBook Pro (like an Wacom Bamboo Touch but much nicer)

The price seems like a total bargain. Though I will be doing a WiFi only version. Hopefully, they'll throw us a bone and allow iPad to iPhone tethering.

Not to mention the couch web-browsing and showing off my portfolio to clients in this form factor.

And this does not even mention the App Store. I have 10 or so apps I use on my iPhone every day. Give developers 2 months and I think we'll see some awesome stuff for the iPad form factor.

Yeah, I agree, it would definitely be a fun gadget to have, and more than likely down the road I might get one. But at the moment It seems more of a want than a need for me since I already have an iMac and an iphone, both of which I need for my work.
